Georgie Porgie…Tuesday’s Show & Tail!

When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, my grandma had a dog named George. He was a lot of fun to be around. We would dance and play and mostly just hang out together.

He slept in his pen in the side yard of her house, unless it was just too cold, then he was allowed indoors.

These pictures were taken one day using my Kodak 110mm Instamatic camera. He generously posed for me, lol.

This picture was taken at Lake George, MI at my grandma’s cottage. I loved that lake! In the picture are me, George, and a boy from across the street (Bobby).

Sometime in the late 1980s (I think), George passed away. He had some kind of cancer. In 1993, he was reunited with my grandma and I am certain they are just loving one another again.

  1. I love it when dogs have people names! He sure was a cute looking dog. I'm not sure what kind he is but he looks like he would had been soft. And I remember saying the Georgie Porgie Puddin Pie rhyme when I was a kid too! hehehe

Thanks for sharing George with us this week! Isn't it wonderful how our pets are the ones that we usually learn how to photograph things with.

  2. What a cute fluffy dog! He reminds me of a dog I had named Queenie. She was a Daisy Dog, and I just loved her!

  4. What a cute little fur ball. I had one of those Kodak Instamatic cameras too, but I think it was the early 60's.

Thanks all!!! He was a fun dog to hang with. Great temper around kids - had to be because I would make him dance and walk on his hind legs, LOL. Always excited to see me...
